In everyone's life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit.

no offense meant with the MMORPG thing, by the way. I've played both Everquest and WoW.
In fact, I seem to remember us having a conversation during winter break about our WoW characters during that visit at Megan's.
*Conundra:iconConundra: Mar 5, 2008, 11:11:54 AM
I've met very few people who are capable of playing MMOs but not becoming addicted. My hat is off to you, sir, for finding and maintaining that balance.
=RestemaIII:iconRestemaIII: Mar 5, 2008, 11:05:24 AM
Well I guess looks can be deceiving. I do play MMO's but not obsessively. I play WoW and I used to play Final Fantasy XI online. I only play during the week after work in my own house and I am more than happy to go out when people ask me too. Then on the weekends I like to go out drinking and sleep with my very hot girlfriend.
*Conundra:iconConundra: Mar 4, 2008, 12:20:22 PM
I was raised without a Playstation, being the child of a Nintendo lover. As a results, I've never seen someone play a Final Fantasy game that came before 7, let alone played one myself.
I'm the type of person who plays videogames and gets nice and addicted, and as a result, I don't play them very much at all anymore.

what are your favorite games in various genres, and what's your favorite genre, overall?
As for MMORPGs, I'm guessing that you don't partake, if only because you seem to be a well-adjusted human being with a steady girlfriend and a life. However, as a former MMORPGamer myself, I know that appearances can be deceiving, and even those who lead perfectly fulfilling, wonderful lives outside of their parents' basements, so I figure I may as well ask if you've ever played any and, if so, which ones.

I haven't owned a single console that came out after the N64, and I also have a sucky computer. As a result of this, the wonders of Portal, Half-Life, God of War, and every other amazing game that's come out in the last five years are largely unknown to me.

With that said, my favorite games include:
Logical Journey of the Zoombinis, Unreal Tournament (Game of the Year edition and 2k4), Diablo II: Lord of Destruction, Monkeyball, Dungeon Keeper, Myst, Myst III: Exile, Mario 64, Starfox, the Legend of Zelda, Kid Icarus, Star Wars Episode 1 racer (don't judge me), Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath and, last, but by no means least, Duck Hunt.
Rez is pretty sexy, too, as is Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II.

I'm going to stop nattering on now, before I'm overwhelmed by the nerd-storm in my brain.
=RestemaIII:iconRestemaIII: Mar 3, 2008, 11:30:58 PM
Depends on what genre. If it comes down to straight up favorite games i am gonna have to go with Final Fantasy 6
*Conundra:iconConundra: Mar 3, 2008, 10:26:19 PM
Before each break, I always make a list of books to read. I'll have to add Invisible Monsters to that list.
I commend you on your taste in literature.
Now comes the true test...
to discern your taste in videogames.
=RestemaIII:iconRestemaIII: Mar 3, 2008, 7:27:30 PM
You gotta read Invisible Monsters. I think besides Lullaby its one of the best told of any of his stories.
*Conundra:iconConundra: Mar 3, 2008, 7:14:43 PM
I never read Invisible Monsters. I've been meaning to read that and Choke for quite a while now, but I have enough reading to do in school as it is, and i don't have much recreational reading time.
My personal favorite is Lullaby, although Haunted had a few stories in it that I liked (the final one, in particular).
=RestemaIII:iconRestemaIII: Mar 3, 2008, 5:46:24 PM Mood: Joy
Gonna have to say "Invisible Monsters" I swear to god i threw that book across the room at least 5 times. He gets me every time.
*Conundra:iconConundra: Mar 2, 2008, 5:30:22 PM
After stalking, erm, perusing your DA page, I have but one question to ask: what is your favorite book by Palahniuk?
